The Book of Knowledge: On Ireland

The landscape in Ireland is rocky and dangerous looking. I love how the castles, churches, and bridges usually blend right into the scenery. Were they made that way on purpose? Altogether I think Ireland looks substantial, or sturdy.
Regular bricks are generally the main construction material for buildings. Peat is gathered in Ireland, and used as fuel. Harvesting peat is a messy job, but if you're a little boy, it's enjoyable work. The peat squares are left in the sun to dry.
