The Book of Knowledge: On Germany

(Sunshine through lilac leaves)
Germany and the German language is quite thick. Thick as in a very guttural language and also the architecture seems heavy and broad. The Germans were fond of symmetry in their buildings, and I notice that in all the pictures of the architecture provided in the Book of Knowledge there are square or rectangle windows and doors. When you look at the buildings you see a very orderly and almost strict sense of style.
Germany also has the one and only Festspielhaus. The Festspielhaus is an orchestra hall and theatre made for Richard Wagner's works, and only his works. No other composers' music is performed there. Near the location of the Festspielhaus is the home where Wagner spent much of his time writing, the Wahnfried. Wagner's tomb is actually in the garden there.
Till next time!
