A munchkin

Thomas M. Spinks, age 7.

Profile or semi-profile is also a good angle for cats.
I love taking pictures of his eyes, too.

  1. Did this picture require lots of patience, or does he have that personality trait (rare among cats) where he'll start posing every time he sees a camera pointing at him?
I had forgotten that cats can live that long.
Is he still around? (no offence).

    1. Well, a mix of both. He's pretty used to my camera, but is a little rare to have him sit still while looking into it. :)
And yes, he's still around. We got him (and his "brother") the spring of year we moved here, which is exactly 7 years ago.

  2. Wow! You have some very long lived cats!
I think our oldest cat (even though she's a grama) is four years now. Taggerung, my black and white cat will sit perfectly still under a lens if he moves it means he's just thought of a new pose for the camera. :)
Seven years since you moved here, yowzah! Makes me wonder what happened to all those years, it seems the older I get, the faster time goes by. We should remember that we don't know how much time God has given to each of us.

    1. Gracie, our indoor rescue cat, is about my age, although in cat years that's much older :)
The seven years have been an adventure, that's for sure! We visited your place a few years before we moved, too.

  3. You've read "Dewey" right? That cat lived to about that age.

Indeed they have! Yes, I remember you visited a few times. For some reason I'm remembering runner ducks. Did we buy runner ducks from you?

It seems we're having two conversations at once.

    1. I have never read "Dewey"... who is it by?

I know you never bought runner ducks from us, for we never had any to buy. But I think either the ranch in the Cities bought some from you, or you bought some from the ranch. I know we provided the transportation for those poor unhappy ducks.

  4. Vicki Myron with Bret witter. I have a copy. if you want to borrow it, I can bring it Sunday.

That makes more sense. calves don't like long car rides either, (trust me, I know!)
